- The religious rule in Jesus’ day was people were to be forgiven up to three times; the fourth offense need not be forgiven. What does Jesus’ answer here say about what forgiveness is like in the Kingdom?

- This story represents God’s kingdom. It implies that Jesus believed people owe a great debt to God that he is willing to forgive. What debt would people owe to God that would need forgiveness?
